In 24 Series

The “In 24 Series”, conceived of by Abi Sanie and Ian McCormack, as apart of Dense & Stage Theatre Collectives inaugural season, is a model of project that invites a group of professional artists to partake in a condensed rehearsal timeline, putting on a production in only 24 hours.

Although put through the pressures of a condensed timeline, this dramaturgical practice focusing on curating a space where queer and neurodivergent artists are give the space to freely explore, play, collaborate, and connect with other like-minded artists.

Step into a whimsical world with “Alice in 24”, reimagined by a queer and neurodivergent theatre collective. This bold adaptation brings Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland to life with vibrant Montréal creatives at the helm. Featuring a dynamic cast and creative team, the production weaves together playful storytelling, immersive design, live music, and inclusive artistry. Journey down the rabbit hole for an unforgettable theatrical adventure celebrating curiosity, identity, and the boundless power of imagination.

“Alice in 24” took place in January 2025, having a sold-out run at the Mainline Theatre. Combining elements of circus, drag, and physical theatre, the company collaborated with over 30 queer/disabled artists, designers and musicians.
